Located in the historic Shamrock House in the Whiteaker, Grit nourishes the community with seasonal, local, and delicious food, grown by our farmers and served with love. We build each dish from scratch with the freshest and most delicious ingredients Oregon has to offer, and we are dedicated to using only products from pastured animals.

C. Ashley Hawkins, who grew up on a Florida cattle ranch, founded Grit in 2013. She spent time traveling the world, working in agriculture and eventually landed in Oregon to work on a farm. Her roots in ranching and farming combined with her passion for feeding people and our farmers are the foundation of Grit.

Thanks to our partners, friends, and the abundant Willamette Valley, Grit is able to stay completely devoted to food, food sovereignty, people, laughter, love, our community, and eating.
